History and past results
Division 11 has been held by Darren Grimwade, a former LNP MP (although no longer a political party member) since 2016. He was easily re-elected in 2020 with a primary vote of more than 75%, and was unopposed when he ran for a third time last year.

Analysis
Ellie Smith, who ran in Dickson against Peter Dutton at the federal election, has the significant benefit of name recognition and resources from a campaign just months prior. Paul Smith ran back in 2016, so has his own experience as a candidate for this ward.
